I read with interest your article on the Landgate and its neglect. It seems that the powers that be “anywhere” in England are not committed to preserving much of our Heritage, only lucrative parts that would make money for the respective organisations that look after certain parts ie English Heritage!
To me, it goes hand in hand with the fallout from the Scottish referendum, whereby all things “English” are put on the back burner, or completely ignored altogether in favour of others.
The people of England need a bit of a kick up the backside to get them to take an interest and learn more about our rich heritage, which seems to be overridden in the grander scheme of things nowadays.
