Nailing new shop's arrival

Rye’s Rope Walk arcade in the market place by the station has a very varied selection of shops and services on two levels including a laundromat and a cafe and the latest arrival is a foot clinic.
This is because the NHS has cut back on some of its less vital services – which seem to include (to some extent) the more routine aspects of feet, ears and eyes.
In my case a film company’s phone kiosk falling on my foot from the back of a lorry was dealt with at the time (the 80s) by the swift application of three large gin and tonics in the House of Lords bar (and I’ll save the rest of the saga for another day).
However the big toe nail had been clearly damaged and needs regular attention from time to time (for reasons best not explained in detail for those of a weak disposition).
So I decided to test the new foot clinic’s skills and my rogue nail was swiftly dealt with by a well-trained professional with some useful looking tools. I wish my other health problems (at 75) could be so quickly solved.
However those of older years who may be worried about their feet now have a place to go. 14 Rope Walk Mews is the address or contact 07722025322 or Ryefootclinic@gmail.com.
Those of younger years, or who perhaps can no longer see their feet, need not go – unless I have, perhaps, made them anxious.
