Granary Club closure

There has been confusion over the future of the Granary Club which has been closed for some months. A notice on the door reads “For information on the redevelopment of the club and site or to contact us please visit our websites www.granaryclub.com or www.clubhorizon.co.uk.  Both websites advise “Club temporary [sic] closed”

Earlier this year, it was announced that a new Entertainment Secretary had been appointed and that the Club was to be redecorated, and later, that it was to be redeveloped into flats. Ian White, director of the Horizon group was not available for comment at the time. However a planning application has now been lodged for change of use to A3 (retail) on the ground floor with nine residential units above and parking also provided.
