Hundreds of people flocked to St Michael’s church in Playden over the weekend to snap up the wide variety of arts and crafts on offer in their 2015 exhibition, writes Seana Lanigan. The well-known and popular artist Richard Adams who lives in the village had donated a painting featuring the church and thirty limited edition prints of this were available for sale. The exhibition featured paintings, toys, jewellery and cards and as usual the range was eclectic, quirky and creative.  The show is organised by the Friends of Playden Church and is their biggest fundraising event of the year.  The twelfth century church currently needs a new roof.
