Two theatrical performances take place at Lamb House on Sunday April 17 at 3:30 and 6pm in commemoration of the centenary of Henry James’ death.
The event is being directed by Rob Hastie, associate director at the Donmar Warehouse in Covent Garden, London, who has just put on a highly acclaimed production of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” at Clwyd Theatr Cymru, now on tour in Cardiff and Swansea.
The readings are being selected by Professor Philip Horne from University College London who has just performed a similar exercise for BBC Radio 4 and is an international authority on the American writer Henry James who lived in Lamb House at the beginning of last century.
The music is being selected and directed by Rob Delaney, the resident Lamb Players musical director, and an experienced performer in musical theatre nationally.
Patrick Rogers of Lamb House says: “We will be selecting the cast from the pantheon of acting greats who now make up The Lamb Players nearer the time, depending on their commitments elsewhere”.
Tickets are now on sale from Grammar School Records, price £12. There will also be a cash bar.
