Coasting along the cliff top

Artist Anna Wilson-Patterson is hosting an exhibition of contemporary paintings at her home (Spark Cottage, Fyrsway) on the cliff top at Fairlight Cove. She draws inspiration from walking her greyhounds at dawn and dusk along the coastline of Hastings, Fairlight Cove, Pett Level, Winchelsea Beach, Rye Harbour and Camber Sands.

She says: “My open studio is an opportunity for people to meet me, browse my sketchbooks, see a painting in progress and the paints and tools I use. Paintings and greeting cards are for sale and I accept commissions. Visitors come from a few doors away and as far afield as Hampshire, Kent, London and even France.”

Anna’s exhibition is part of the “Coastal Currents” event, promoting and supporting the public to meet artists and experience their creative process at first hand. Her studio is open next month for the first two weekends (September 5-6 and 12-13), 11am – 6pm. Check out Anna’s work at her website, or contact her at anna@electric-pencil.co.uk  or on 01424 812038.
