What’s so Special about Rye Harbour Nature Reserve?
The nature reserve at Rye Harbour is special for wildlife, with more than 4,000 species including about 300 that are nationally rare or endangered.
It is also special for people, with more than 360,000 visits last year. It has easy access paths, seats and birdwatching hides that are suited to wheelchair users. Throughout the year, it is an important part of the local tourism industry.
