Two local enterprises are among the just announced finalists for the “Visit England Awards for Excellence” covering a huge range of attractions across the whole of England. The two East Sussex finalists crop up in the camping and new tourist businesses sections.

In the camping, glamping, and holiday park of the year award  Swallowtail Hill of Hobbs Lane, Beckley is a contender, and in the new tourism business award Vine + Country Tours of St Leonard’s features with tours covering Kent and Sussex, and including local brews of beer and cider as well as local wines.

And the range of awards covered by Visit England shows the wide variety of holidays now covered and available not just in East Sussex, but around the rest of the country, and demonstrates that holidays are not just about sun, sea and sand – but a very wide range of experiences.
