Fishing equipment stolen

Power tools and more than £2,000 worth of fishing equipment have been stolen in a series of thefts in Rye, Sussex Police said today. A shed in Marley Road was entered overnight on Sunday to 7am Monday September 8 and equipment, including several rods, landing net, fishing bags and reels, was stolen.

Over the same night another resident, from The Link, had fishing equipment stolen when windows of his white Vauxhall Vivaro were broken. Again rods were stolen as well as a Shimmano 5000 float reel, a wireless bite alarm set,  and a pink children’s rod and reel.

A Vauxhall Astra van in Mason Road was broken into between 4pm on September 7 and 11am on September 8, when several expensive power tools were stolen including a blue Makita 4 inch angle grinder.
