Work on a loading bay in Rye High Street was due to start on Monday January 12. It didn’t. Nothing happened on the Tuesday either, writes Tony Nunn. But on Wednesday, finally, signs decorated the roadside outside The George hotel. Fingers crossed for a start then on Friday January 16.
