Cricket club holds its AGM

Rye Cricket Club is holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday January 20 in The Tudor Room at The Mermaid Inn in Rye at 7:30pm. The meeting will review the successes of the 2015 season, and focus on the planning for the 2016 season, the Overseas Player Hugo Nel from South Africa and the upcoming Winter Colts Coaching Programme. All existing members and new prospective members are encouraged to attend.

Winter Cricket Coaching: Rye Cricket Club is pleased to offer Winter Coaching Courses to accommodate the growing number of Colts. Starting Tuesday February 9/ Wednesday February 10 for 10 Sessions with the Final Session on April 12 and April 13. Signing on evening Friday April 29.

Summer Coaching Programme starts on Friday May 6 at The Rye Cricket Salts. Tuesdays: 7:30 -8:30 pm Years 7-8 and 8:30 -9:30 pm Years 9-13 and Wednesdays: 6-7 pm Primary Aged – Years 4 / 5 / 6. The coaching in 2016 will be augmented by the use of a Bowling Machine.

The arrangements are as follows – the venue is Rye Sports Centre. The coaches are Ollie Rhys-Jones / Ed Jury / Ben Clifton (ECB Level 1 Coaches) Martin Blincow / James Hamilton / John MacKenzie (Level 2 ECB Coaches) Russell Wyatt (ECB Level 3 Coach). The courses will involve group coaching and Nets. The Bowling machine will be used Tuesday evenings.

Equipment will be provided but children are welcome to bring their own. Please make sure items are clearly labeled with your child’s name. The cost will be £50.
