Beckley Rangers Eagles faced Broad Oak in what is always a tough fixture, looking for a much needed win. Beckley started strongly with a high tempo pressing game and went in front when a ball found Brad Sayer wide on the left and a superb cross on the run was met by an emphatic header from Lucas Zon.
Beckley continued to press and doubled their lead, when Joseph Fraser bundled home at the back post following a corner. But Beckley then appeared to lose the intensity in their play and Broad Oak scrambled a goal back to make it 2-1.
Broad Oak, the home side, were now on top and it was not a surprise when they levelled before half time.
Whatever Beckley manager Rob Sayer said at the break certainly did the trick though, as Beckley came out and started to boss the game again, as they retook the lead in sensational fashion when a clearance was chested down on the halfway line by Joseph Fraser.
He moved forward, shifted the ball to his favoured left foot and smashed an incredible shot into the net off the post from 35 yards.
Beckley continued to dominate, despite a couple of minor scares and Sam Garner was unlucky to see his shot cleared off.
In the end it was a great team performance that puts Beckley right back in the title race as well as a goal fit to win any game.
