Icklesham Casuals 2nd team were at home to Hampden Park United on Saturday March 28. After a late kick-off, with the Hampden Park team delayed in getting to the ground, it was Icklesham who went closest to opening the scoring, when Dan Russell shot straight at the keeper. He was a constant threat down the left all game and it was from his well struck corner in the 17th minute that Icklesham took the lead, as Paul Daniels turned the ball home.

In the second half, substitutions gave the visitors more purpose, but it was the home side who increased their lead in the 58th minute when Paul Daniels converted from the penalty spot. He made the game safe three minutes later when he scored, following a Sean Baker free kick, to complete his hat-trick, and the game ended 3 nil to Icklesham.

It was an excellent team performance with everyone playing their part. Luke Crisford was composed and confident in goal, Callum Martin as usual, was dependable at the heart of the defence, Elliott Upton solid in midfield and Joe Fraser holding the ball up well up front.
