Man of the Match Jason Dalton

A great result was had by Rye Bay as they entertained Weald Wolves under 13s. Rye started strongly and scored within five minutes, Kia Jerrey reacting first in the six yard box to a failed clearance and tucking his chance away. Rye soon made it 2-0, winning the ball in midfield, a quick break followed by a cross found Charlie Day and, with the keeper closing him down, he slid in putting his shot into the far corner.

Ten minutes later it was 3-0, Jason Dalton striking a first effort from the edge of the box giving the keeper no chance. Just before half time Wolves had a glimmer of hope when they put away a one to one against keeper Liam Wearing.  The second half started with both teams looking like scoring, but it was Rye who took their chance.

Some neat football firm defence to midfield released Dalton who put his shot, a second, past the oncoming keeper to make it 4-1.  A great game to watch with every boy playing their part and giving their all.
