The Music Well is running a course on “Songwriting for wellbeing and health” at Rye Studio School this Saturday, June 20, from 11am-3pm, £20 but free to under 18s, more details from 01797 226330, or enquiries@themusicwell.org.uk.

For Fathers’ Day Sunday June 21 why not take him on Tenterden’s Steam Railway and treat him to lunch or tea on the train?  Or better still, go to the railway’s CAMRA Real Ale and Cider Festival this Saturday – with trains steaming out of Tenterden from 10:45am.

Also at the weekend, Hastings features the Midsummer Fish Festival on the Stade open space in the Old Town, Saturday 11am-8pm and Sunday 11am-5pm, with bands, wine tasting and cooking demos on stage, and stalls celebrating the area’s best food and drink.
