On Tuesday, October 26, Rye Museum hosted a children’s half term activity afternoon. The theme was autumnal with jam jar lanterns, conker animals and people, leaf pictures and masks.  There were 16 children and 25 adults present. The adult number appears high, but some people just popped in to visit the Museum while the children were busy.

The Museum holds these activity afternoons during most school half terms and the three creative helpers (Heather Stevenson, Sue Manktelow and Pat Greenhough) were kept very busy. There was a family from Germany, as well as one from Hastings, and a family that has just moved to Rye. I believe that everyone enjoyed themselves, certainly going by the children’s smiling faces.
