Waterstones’ Publisher Liaison Manager Eva von Reuss told Rye News that the company will indeed be opening a bookshop in Rye on July 4 in the old off-licence on the High Street writes Seana Lanigan. Rye has been without a book store since the Martello’s shop closed last year.  The new shop will be branded as “The Rye Bookshop”, managed by Lizzie Lee from Waterstone’s Hastings branch, and next door to the old Martello bookshop, which has now been taken over by Craft Magic who relocated from Conduit Hill last weekend.
