As part of Jempson’s 80th Anniversary celebrations, celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager hosted two cookery demonstrations at the Peasmarsh Superstore on June 26 and the event was a resounding success with the local chef cooking beer bread with Jempson’s “Local Hero” anniversary ale, apricot and almond tart (amaretti) as well as roast haunch of venison and duck breast with spicy couscous among other recipes – all of which included ingredients available within Jempson’s stores. Stephen Jempson said “It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Rosemary to our store, we thoroughly enjoyed the evening, our guests and the participants certainly looked as though they did too. We hope to welcome Rosemary back to Peasmarsh for a fuller event prior to Christmas as well as Levi Roots in the coming months”. (Source: Jempson’s)
