A surprisingly wide range of Fair Trade products was on sale at St Mary’s Centre on Saturday, September 19, during an event held to demonstrate and publicise Rye’s credentials as a Fair Trade Town.
In support, Rye Dance Centre brought young students to show off their skills, and they certainly attracted a crowd of onlookers as they performed in the yard outside the Centre.
Unfortunately, this was not reflected in the number of prospective customers venturing inside the hall, writes Kenneth Bird.
