Ecotricity, a green energy company based in Gloucestershire, is appealing against the refusal for it to erect a meteorological mast at Snave on Romney Marsh. The mast is a prerequisite for submitting an application to build six wind turbines with a total capacity of 15MW (writes Kenneth Bird). At a recent meeting of Rother Environmental Group opinions were divided on support for the project with many of the view that wind farms should be offshore. The group will be discussing the result of Ecotricity’s appeal once it is announced.
