The scallop wheelbarrow race, organised by the Ship Inn on The Strand took place on Sunday March 1 as part of the closing events in this year’s Scallop Festival. The the winning team was from the Harbour Health Club, followed home by teams from the Mermaid Inn and Rye Runners. For more coverage see obsessions and galloping gourmets.
