On Saturday October 15, 7:30pm at Northiam Church, Rye Bay Crew is presenting an evening with Mr Byrd. TV actor Julian Curry (famed for his role as Erskin Brown in Rumpole of the Bailey, as well as appearances in Midsomer Murders and Morse) will narrate the life of the Elizabethan composer William Byrd, with excerpts from his greatest works sung by Cantamus voices, including the Four-part Mass and Ave Verum Corpus.
Tickets cost just £10 with proceeds going to charity and Northiam Church.
And then on Saturday October 29, in celebration of Wild Boar Week, there is a French cafe and cabaret evening commencing at 7:15pm at the Cinque Port Arms. Enjoy a three-course meal of Wild Boar Terrine, Coq au Vin, and Normandy Tarte Tatin, with music of a French café style, including songs from Piaf, and Cabaret.
Tickets £25 per head and limited, due to space in the Bistro at the Cinque Ports, to just 20 covers (we’ve sold nearly half already!)
