A night at the opera

Rye Harbour Sailability, for the fourth year, are delighted to present A Festive Evening of Opera Arias and Duets at St Mary’s church, Rye.

Join us on Saturday November 30 for a truly wonderful evening that combines the elegance of opera in the resplendent historic surroundings of St Mary’s church, bringing together renowned opera performers – Paul Hopwood, Thomasin Trezise, and Philip Smith – and featuring classic arias and duet compositions. Their uniquely relaxed and engaging performances will leave you captivated. Doors open from 6.30 p.m. and the performance commences from 7 pm.

Of course, all proceeds will be going to our great local charitable cause. Tickets are £46.00 and include a complimentary glass of renowned local English sparkling wine from Charles Palmer Vineyards, who sponsor the event, and sumptuous canapés from the Deli in Rye. There will also be opportunities to win some amazing prizes in our raffle, including a stay at the Mermaid Inn, hampers, and champers and much more.

What truly sets this event apart is our commitment to making a tangible difference for those that Rye Harbour Sailability serves. As you may already know, Rye Harbour Sailability is an amazing local charity that enables people with disabilities the opportunity to experience the joy of sailing.

We aim to give people of all ages, with a wide range of disabilities, the chance to experience the fun and freedom of sailing with a qualified helmsman and crew at Rye Harbour. By attending this event, you will not only enjoy the magic of opera but also contribute to a great cause.
