Back by popular demand:
Starting on Wednesday May 13 and running weekly until Wednesday June 17 we have a series of six Colour Lectures from gallery artist John Fewster for those interested in the visual arts.
These talks will include an overview of the physics of light, the psychology of perception and the biology of the eye and how they combine to create the illusive sensation of colour.
All levels welcome. If you came to the series at the gallery, this is a fantastic way to take notes, ask questions, and top up your knowledge.
Online lectures are each approximately 45 minutes. The series of six presents a continuous story – from historic through contemporary colour science, leading into broader topics of colour theory, colour reproduction and visual perception.
Presentation and original visuals by John Fewster FCSD.
Please email us for more information about virtual events and to buy tickets.
The money raised from ticket purchases help to support the Gallery during this time.
