Rye Arts Festival is looking for additional people to help with organising and running the annual festival in September. The festival relies heavily on volunteers to help deliver the annual two-week programme of around 60 music events, drama, walks, films, talks and tours and it would love to hear from you if you’re interested in getting involved in one of the UK’s best multi-arts festivals!
Some roles involve a year-round commitment but others, such as stewarding and stage management, are mainly active during the fortnight of festival itself. For example, if you enjoy attending events (for free) and interacting with the public and performers, have you considered becoming a steward?
The festival is particularly keen to hear from you if you have a background in health and safety, finance, fund-raising, IT or marketing (including social media). And it is also looking for people to become trustees – a role like a school governor, overseeing the governance of the festival rather than its day to day organisation.
If you’d like to join the team in the run up to the 49th annual festival this year (September 12 to 26) and as work begins to start on the exciting 50th anniversary festival to be delivered in 2021, and would like to be part of the team bringing wide-ranging and world-class entertainment to Rye, email volunteering@ryeartsfestival.org.uk.
Please indicate any areas you are particularly interested in getting involved in and also any relevant skills you can bring to the festival. See the website for more information and background.
