We are delighted to reveal that a Winchelsea film writer and director (and St Thomas’ Primary School mum), Bindu de Stoppani, will be screening her latest film on January 16 at the New Hall, Winchelsea.
The film screening is open to all – parents, carers and local residents – and will be followed by a Q&A with the director along with tea and cake.
It has been organised by St Thomas’ Primary School PTA to raise money towards cleaning up the school garden.
Bindu is looking forward to bringing her feature film to Winchelsea.
She says: “Finding Camille was developed here. I researched the subject matter by speaking with local residents, as well as the Alzheimer’s Society Group in Hastings. I wrote the script here too… often whilst sipping copious cups of tea in local cafés.”‘
Finding Camille is the moving and at times heartbreakingly humorous story of a father and daughter’s journey to get to know each other, while simultaneously forgetting what bonded them in the first place. It’s about the loss of oneself, the other and the opportunities that life gives you to live for the moment, embracing love, adventure and happiness.
Tickets are available on the door, or you can pre-purchase from the school (01797 226479) or the Little Shop in Winchelsea, costing £5. Tea and cake £2. Donations welcome.
