On Monday, February 17 Rye and District Camera Club held their fifth competition evening of the season at Iden Village Hall. This was the annual panel competition which is a panel made up of three to six prints and a projected digital image (PDI) competition of photographic art and digital manipulation.
The competitions were judged by Helen Taylor, who is a club member and a highly qualified judge. The panels were all high quality and covered a wide variety of subjects. The two panels scoring the maximum twenty were Tony Ham’s Aspinall Lions and Norman Ferguson’s Pelicans with the pelicans being awarded over all winner.


Third place went to Robin Roberts’s Giveaway Faves. Norman had a very successful evening also claiming first and second place in the digital manipulation competition with Dropped In claiming first prize and Shell Fantasy coming second. Third place went to Veryan Pollard with Turtle Doves Re-Imagined.

The sixth competition evening will take place on March 17 where there will be two PDI competitions, British countryside and an open, plus a small print competition which is also open.
