The Jerwood Gallery at Rock-a-Nore Road in Hastings is always worth a visit especially on a sunny day when it is possible to sit on the veranda overlooking the sea, the fishing fleet and the seagulls (pictured above).
The new exhibitions include an interesting combination by two artists with long connections (40 years plus) with Hastings, starting downstairs with large canvasses in Gus Cummins “Off the wall” display.
Upstairs, in addition to some of the gallery’s fine permanent collection, Sir Quentin Blake has a display of his “Moonlight Travellers”.
