Finally, Rye Art Gallery (RAG) in the High Street was able to open its doors again on December 2 from 11am-5pm and the team is excited to bring the brand new Christmas show featuring over 40 selected artists from paint to print, ceramics to sculptures, creating an eclectic mix of talents with something for everyone.

The brief was set in September 2020 and there was a call out to artists who would like to participate – up to four pieces each. The only criteria and restriction was the size of the artwork to fit specific dimensions. RAG was delighted with the quality and quantity received.

Julian Day said: “It has been a pleasure to put together this show and I would like to thank all the artists for their sheer enthusiasm and support”. Julian is the curator of the permanent collection and could not resist interspersing some of it into the show.

There are more than 40 artworks for sale and also still on view are Tom Marsh, Kenneth Townsend and potter Branka Vrhovski-Stanton and RAG has exciting news about the introduction of a brand new section of their website, “Art for Sale”, which has a showcase of all new and featured artists currently in the gallery, so go to the website.
