What is described as a little informal musical gathering will take place at Snargate Church on Sunday August 28.
Organisers Giles and Ruth Ridley welcome back two old friends, Alison Stuart of the BBC Singers and Alan Maries, clarinettist. They write: “Part of our theme will be ‘Aimez Vous Brahms’ and the programme will include pieces which Brahms wrote very late in life. Alison will sing a wonderful Mozart aria and an attractive selection of songs from Grieg to Rachmaninoff. We will end with a finale which as ever folds everyone, audience included, into the act.”
No tickets – just a collection in aid of the British Red Cross for Ukrainians. Starting with tea from 5.30pm, and music at 6pm, finishing a little after 7pm in time for the Red Lion PH.
