Local historian Geoff Hutchinson returns to Rye Castle Museum to talk about the coastal defences that were built during the Napoleonic Wars.

The area around Rye and Romney Marsh contain an exceptional collection of Napoleonic period fortifications, including a number of surviving Martello Towers and the 28 mile Royal Military Canal.

This fascinating talk will take place at 7:30pm on Thursday, February 13 at the East Street branch of Rye Castle Museum.
