Guests enjoyed another thoroughly entertaining evening at Rye Academy on Friday October 13, when the Undercover Shadows gave a wonderful evening of nostalgia for the many fans of Cliff Richards and his wonderful group.
They played all the old favourites to a full house and there was much clapping to the beat, toe-tapping, singing along and even dancing in the aisles, led by host Richard Moore. In the interval a splendid Ploughman’s Supper complete with dessert, was served in record time, thanks to some excellent team-work organised by Andrew Swarbrick, Nicola Mitchell and Rye Wurlitzer Academy parents and students.
Regulars at these evenings never cease to be impressed at the standards of refreshments and the slick, smooth way they are served and cleared away. The famous Richard Moore jam appeared, in presentations to the Undercover Shadows and others, as well as in the raffle.
We are looking ahead now to the Christmas Concert which takes place on Friday December 8.
