Saturday July 18 was a beautiful day and the town was very busy.

Sally Cole enjoys painting in the outdoors in Pembrokeshire

It was the re-opening day of  Rye Art Gallery (RAG) after the lengthy closure because of Covid-19 and many visitors came through the door which made the day go quickly.

Everyone was happy to follow instructions, using hand gel, keeping their distance and following the one way system to come in by the High Street entrance and exit at the back into the alley.

The first exhibition is art from Sally Cole showing until August 30, reviewed previously. It was postponed from March.

People were complimentary and appreciated Sally’s paintings as well as the pottery by Effie Gibson (below) and sculptures from other artists, all of which brought about several sales – a busy but enjoyable first day back.

Gallery now open Wednesday – Saturday, 11.00am to 4.00pm.
