This much lauded Oscar-winning film Conclave, directed by Edward Berger and based on Robert Harris’s bestselling novel, staring Ralph Fiennes as Cardinal Lawrence, Stanley Tucci as Cardinal Bellini, John Lithgow as Cardinal Tremblay, Isabella Rossellini as Sister Agnes, Carlos Diehz as Cardinal Benitez, Lucian Msamati as Cardinal Adeyemi.

Set in the secretive world of the papal conclave, the film begins with the sudden death of the Pope, requiring the College of Cardinals to gather in the Vatican and elect a new leader. Cardinal Lawrence, played by Fiennes, is responsible for overseeing this ancient, covert process, only to discover that the Pope’s death may not have been natural. The film includes themes of ambition, power, and hidden motives within the church, setting up a dramatic exploration of faith and political intrigue..
