Great news for Rye Arts Festival supporters – three events postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, are to take place later this month.

Inside the Archers takes place on Friday, November 25, in the Rye Community Centre and sees the long-running BBC radio drama’s editor, Jeremy Howe and actress Felicity Finch (aka Ruth Archer) in conversation. Tickets are just £15 for this unique glimpse behind the scenes of one of BBC Radio’s most iconic series.

Author Alex Preston will be taking to the stage in Rye Community Centre at 3pm on Saturday, November 26, when he talks to fellow author Adam Nicholson. The pair will discuss Alex’s best-selling novel, Winchelsea, a tale of smuggling and vengeance set in and around the famous 18th century town near Rye. As one advocate of Winchelsea has commented; “Imagine Daphne du Maurier crossed with Quentin Tarantino, and you will have some idea of just what a thrilling, bloody and heady ride this novel is.”

Tickets are £12.

Finally, the Oscar-winning British film The Crying Game, will be screened in the Silver Room at the Kino, at 7:30pm on Thursday, November 24. Tickets for the film are free, but donations to the Rye Arts Festival will be most welcome.

Seats are very limited, so please book tickets for this event well in advance.
