An exhibition featuring new works by the much loved local painter Richard Adams will open at the Ryebank gallery on the High Street on June 26. Most of the paintings were created in lockdown and reflect Adams’ affection for Rye and the surrounding area. Adams is one of our most popular and prolific local artists and his work is uplifting, amusing and thought provoking.
The exhibition also includes work by Jackie Summerfield who is well known for her ceramic heads of animals, birds and people, among other works.
The Ryebank gallery is open from 10:30am until 5:30pm every day except Thursday. The exhibition runs June 26 until July 23. A private view will take place on June 25 and places must be booked in advance through the gallery (gallery@ryebank.gallery; 01797 360259)
