Michael Montagu has been writing some detailed fascinating articles for Rye News on the churches of Romney Marsh including St Thomas a Becket at Fairfield .
On Tuesday, April 8 Martin and I were motivated to go and see eight of these churches both because Michael’s articles had inspired us and because Rye Arts Festival is running a tour in September to visit four of the churches (and enjoy a ploughman’s lunch too) and we were doing research for this event.
