The preview for the studio summer exhibition at the Rye Creative Centre (RCC) took place on Friday, August 26.
Variations turned the spotlight on RCC studio artists and showcased their diverse forms of practice. Printmaking, sculpture, painting, photography and textiles were all exhibited to a high standard. An intriguing structure drew you into the room and gave a quirky twist to the space.
RCC is a thriving cultural community and home to makers and artists from Rye and the surrounding areas.
It was a fantastic evening with a great atmosphere which was captured perfectly by photographer Peter Mould.
Charlie Abrahams, manager at the centre told me, “It was a great turnout with twenty-two exhibited artists and a hundred people all soaking up the atmosphere and creativity. The exhibition runs until September 25.
Mon – Weds 10am – 4pm
Thurs – Sun 10am – 6pm.
Do come and visit and engage with some of the artists.”
