As the longest serving Councillor (being originally elected to Rye Borough Council) I have always stood as an INDEPENDENT.
I listen to all points of view and try to put them across in Council discussions.
Rye is a wonderful place in which to live and work, but there are always opportunities to make it better and to protect against awful things happening to it; and I shall continue to try to do both.
I am especially interested in our young people, in hearing what they have to say, in promoting more opportunities for them, and in supporting ways to widen their experiences.
I am very involved not only in the Town Council, but also with Rye Castle Museum, Rye Hospital, Rye College (Foundation Governors), Rye Partnership, Rother Voluntary Action, St Mary’s Church and Ryesingers.
I am fascinated by the history of this Ancient Town and Port and endeavour not only to tell people about the interesting and important place in which they live, but also to continuously research its past.
If elected, I will try to do my best for Ryers of all ages.
