Saturday 23rd November 2024 – Festive Late Night Shopping
Join us for late night shopping in beautiful Rye on Saturday 23rd November 2024!
Everything kicks off with the Christmas Tree Light Switch On at The George Hotel in Rye (from 4:45pm)! Then wander the streets of Rye for festive shopping in our fabulous independent shops, grab yourself some festive food and drink and enjoy some live music!
The evening will begin with the switching on of The George in Rye Christmas tree lights…! We are super excited to announce that the brilliant Peter Duncan (Blue Peter Presenter/Actor) will be joining us and our fabulous Deputy Town Crier (Arabella) for the big switch on!! 
Join us from 4:45pm where the wonderful The Marsh Choir will be singing outside The George to get us into the festive spirit!
PARKING
All car parks run by Rother District Council (Bedford Place, Lucknow Place, Cinque Ports Street, The Strand, Gibbet Marsh) will be free of charge on Saturday evening from 4pm. Please note there will still be charges for on street parking.
OUR STAFF
All festival staff can be easily identified by their high vis jackets. If you have any concerns or problems on the evening, please find one of us and we will be happy to help. All festival committee have current DBS certification.
