Rye Community and Wildlife Garden is encouraging the town’s youngsters to take up gardening. The garden, which is based in an exciting and beautiful space right in the heart of Rye, wants to attract more young gardeners and wildlife enthusiasts.
The team meet regularly at Love Lane on Saturday mornings between 10.00am and midday. There is some space available in our plant beds, and greenhouse, for school age children to plant and care for their favourite vegetables and flowers.
Garden supporters are on hand to offer advice and assistance and children should be accompanied by a parent / carer. Outdoor clothes and protective gloves are a good idea. It’s always a sociable gathering and often with tea and cake.
Come along and say hello on Saturday morning. You’ll be very welcome.
