Last weekend the crew and lifeboat operations manager, Paul Bolton at Rye Harbour Lifeboat station received special awards from the RNLI .

The crew’s award was for their excellence in volunteering. It was in recognition of their dedicated efforts over the last year in which they upheld the RNLI values of being selfless, courageous, dependable and trustworthy.

Paul Bolton’s award recognised his dedicated service to RNLI Rye Harbour. He was described by his fellow volunteers as, ‘a phenomenal leader, devoted and exceptional.’
Paul continually champions the RNLI values.

Congratulations to all at the station. During the pandemic, volunteers dedicated their time to further their training and although they could not meet in person they organised Zoom and Teams meetings, not only with their peers, but with RNLI Hastings their flank station and RNLI Port Talbot.
