Businesses in Camber, Beckley and Rye are celebrating after success at the prestigious 1066 Hastings and Rother Business Awards. All three came out top last Thursday June 6 at an event at Bannatynes Hotel in Hastings, hosted by Let’s Do Business Group, who also celebrated 30 years of providing support, finance, marketing and training to local businesses across the southeast and east of England.
Picking up the Community Spirit Award was Little Gate Farm in Beckley, sponsored by Marshall Tufflex whose marketing services manager, Ronnie Ford, remarked: “We were hugely impressed by both the quantity and the quality of the entries into the Community Spirit Award. We finally decided on Little Gate as the winner due to the huge amount of opportunities they have given to local people with learning disabilities through their supported employment scheme. It’s a fantastic scheme and has been of great benefit to local employers as well.”
Frankie’s at the Beach collected the 2024 Extra Mile Award sponsored by Goldstar IT Consultancy. The award celebrates an organisation that goes above and beyond, setting the gold standard for customer satisfaction. Paul Goldsmith, director at Goldstar IT Consultancy said: “For a small business like Frankie’s, we could see the commitment to achieving the extra mile in customer service was engrained in the culture of Frankie’s which is why we felt they deserved the award.”
The 2024 People First Award, an award which celebrates employers who prioritise the wellbeing and professional growth of their workforce, went to Bournes. The company are no strangers to the awards rostrum having scooped many national awards over their long and successful history and in 2023 won the British Association of Removers Domestic Mover of the year Award for outstanding customer service.
