Amongst the field of orange, hides just one golden pumpkin. It’ll be no easy feat to find, as it hides amongst over 60,000 pumpkins and squash, but for those who complete the challenge there will be a reward. The lucky finder will instantly become loaded…loaded that is with pumpkins, as the finder will win a wheelbarrow full of pumpkins for free!
Pick Your Own Pumpkin, near Ashford is opening this October welcoming families across Kent to put on their wellies, get outside and go stomping through the patch to find their perfect pumpkin for Halloween.
Jemma Thompson who manages Pick Your Own Pumpkin stated: “Families hunt for hours looking for their perfect pumpkin and if they are really lucky, they might come across the ultra-rare golden pumpkin! It obviously is not real gold, as we’re yet to find the secret spell to turn pumpkins into gold (or carriages)- but if it’s found its worth its ‘gold weight’ in pumpkins!”
Each year Pick Your Own Pumpkin support a local charity. This year they held a vote on social media, and their followers chose Club AUsome as the charity for 2023. Club AUsome are based in Kent and support families with children who have disabilities or need additional learning support.
Pick Your Own Pumpkin will open at weekends and during half term from October 14 from 9.30-4pm. Booking is essential and entrance tickets are priced at £5.50 per car plus the booking fee. For more information and to book please visit www.pickyourownpumpkin.farm
