The Music Well, a local charity encouraging well-being through music, invites you to an Open Garden on Sunday July 14 at Little Orchard House, 3 West Street in Rye, between 1 and 5 p.m.
Entry is £3 to raise funds for “Mary’s Fund” which provides music therapy – a fund started after the tragic death of a child.
There will be live music through the afternoon including impromptu playing, the Singing for Wellbeing Group, and drumming circles – and good eats and drinks will also be available in the wonderful “secret” garden.
For more information on Music Well visit www.themusicwell.org.uk or contact enquiries@themusicwell.org.uk or 01797-226330.
Swap shop returns
The Recycle Swap Shop is open again this Saturday July 13 at the Tilling Green Community Centre in Mason Road from 9:30am to 11:30am – and one of the items they were seeking to recycle was a bicycle (which may by now have found a new home).
The last Swap Shop brought the total amount reused since the swap shops started in 2012 to over 12 tonnes.
Wherever possible anything not taken goes to local charity shops to be sold (42kg last time) and 179kg was recycled and found a new home. If you want to help email mikepepler@yahoo.co.uk.
