Monday afternoon saw the East Sussex Fire and Rescue turntable supported by a pump, appearing against the traffic from the Mint.
Shortly afterwards, the crew was in action in the High street removing some loose tiles and roof fixtures, dislodged on the recent storm.
Apart from reducing the risk from loose tiles, it would have been good practice for crews in tackling the challenge of accessing the High street with the large turntable.
