As in previous years, a plain wooden cross will be carried through the streets of Rye on April 14, commemorating Good Friday and the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth.

Organised by Churches Together, the procession will start from St Anthony of Padua, the Catholic Church in Watchbell Street, at 12 noon.

It will arrive at Strand Quay at 12.20pm and finish by Rye station at 12.45pm. All are welcome.
