MP Amber Rudd, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change and well known local artist Louis Turpin visited Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital on Saturday June 11, to officially mark the opening of the new stained glass window in the entrance lobby. Louis has taken inspiration for his art work from the local landscape, incorporating poppies, meadows and wildlife to remind us that the hospital was built as a memorial to the First World War. The colourful three panel window is a wonderful welcome to visitors and we are very grateful to Louis for donating his artwork to the Hospital.
