There was quite a small crowd gathered round the parking meter in Market Street yesterday (Monday, August 30). They were obviously getting impatient. Only the previous day a friend’s coin injection had been refused by the machine in the Landgate. So I asked if this one was not working perhaps.
“It won’t be when I fetch a hammer” replied one of them. But all was eventually well.
