Martello Developments is delighted to announce their much-anticipated riverside project Bridge Point, at Rye in East Sussex, has been granted planning permission as reported already in Rye News.
The scheme, designed to convert a run-down warehouse site into a creative hub including artist studios, performance rehearsal space, a gallery, a riverfront restaurant and housing units, was designed by award winning architecture firm RX Architects.
The proposal includes a riverside footpath running the length of the site, with wildflower planting and new boat moorings. An outdoor amphitheatre carved into the riverbank will be the centre point of the landscaping of the project providing a rich and diverse outdoor space in a beautiful setting that was once essentially derelict.
David Kowitz of Martello Developments said: “We would like to thank Rother District Council planning department for granting planning for our exciting project. We have worked extremely hard to develop the scheme, which will open up and reconnect Rye to this historically important area of the town.”
